Murtida Maanta [Thought of the Day]

Life is short, science is long; opportunity is elusive, experiment is dangerous, judgement is difficult.

Hippocrates (c.460-c.370 BC), Ancient Greek physician and philosopher. Hippocrates, who is considered the father of medicine, founded a medical school on the Aegean island of Kos. He had a rational approach, believing that disease was caused by physical phenomena, and not by the the gods. Artwork from the 19th century book ^IVies des^i ^ISavants Illustres^i.
